Can Curtain Tracks Be Fitted to Plasterboard?

Quick answer
Curtain tracks can be fitted to plasterboard, but the safe method depends on curtain weight, board condition and what sits behind it. Heavy curtains should ideally be fixed into timber, masonry or another structural support rather than relying on the board alone.
