How to choose the right system

Confirm the operating method

A hand-drawn track is operated by moving the curtain itself or using a draw rod. A cord-operated system keeps operation at a fixed control point and can be useful for heavy, tall or difficult-to-reach curtains.

SG 3840, SG 3870, SG 3900 and SG 3970 are different systems with different fitting options, maximum published lengths, load guidance and component sets.

Check Wave compatibility

Wave requires the correct track system, gliders, spacing components and curtain construction. A normal track should not be assumed to become a Wave track simply by changing the hooks.

Plan the fixing route

The visible profile is only one part of the installation. The wall, ceiling or recess must provide suitable structure along the bracket line, particularly near bends, joins and curtain stacking positions.

• Set the finished track line only after checking curtain heading depth, window handles, radiators, sills and the intended stack-back.
• Use the bracket or fixing centres specified for the selected system and actual curtain load.
• Provide additional support where the curtain gathers when open and around bends where the manufacturer's guidance requires it.
• For recessed systems, allow enough access to install the profile, insert components and maintain the system later.
• For cord-operated systems, agree the control side and cord route before fixing the final track position.

Curtains feel heavy or do not travel smoothly

Check for damaged or incompatible gliders, debris in the channel, excessive curtain load, poor alignment at joins or an overly tight bend.

The track pulls away from the wall or ceiling

Stop using the system and inspect the substrate, fixing type, bracket quantity and support near the stack position. Replacing only the visible screw may not solve a failed fixing point.

Wave folds become irregular

Check that the correct Wave gliders, spacing components, hooks and curtain construction have been used throughout the system.
